Dust Front RTS Steam: Store Page, Demo App and News
Dust Front RTS Steam: App 2610770 is the store page where you wishlist it, App 4776100 is the free demo, and the news hub has every developer post.
Last verified: 2026-08-30
Dust Front RTS exists on exactly one storefront, and while it is unreleased that storefront is doing several different jobs at once. There are four distinct Steam surfaces attached to the project — the store page, the demo page, the news hub and the community hub — and knowing which one holds what saves a lot of scrolling. This page maps them.
The store page (App 2610770): wishlist, and nothing else yet
The store page is the canonical record. Its status line reads coming soon, its release date reads To be announced, and it carries the statement that the game has not yet released on Steam. Price is not announced.
What the page does contain is a full description of the design: "Dust Front is a classic RTS with elements of grand strategy, procedural world and non-linear campaign. The action takes place on a planet devastated by many wars and upheavals, where under a thick layer of soot and concrete buried remnants of humanity's former might."
The tag list is the densest official summary of the game's identity anywhere: Strategy, RTS, War, Base Building, Singleplayer, Resource Management, Procedural Generation, Indie, Action RTS, Sci-fi, Dark, PvE, Grand Strategy, Atmospheric, Dystopian, Post-apocalyptic, Destruction, Top-Down, Gore and Time Travel. Two of those — Singleplayer and PvE — are worth noting given how often the multiplayer question comes up.
The page also lists English and Russian as the only supported languages, both with full audio and Russian additionally with subtitles, and carries a mature content note: the game contains death animations of human units and mutants, with blood and corpses.
Because the game is unreleased, the only action available is wishlisting. There is no pre-order, no beta key and no redemption code — the project has none and never has.
The demo page (App 4776100): a separate Steam app
The demo is not a tab on the store page. It is its own Steam application with its own App ID, its own store listing, its own review score and its own accessibility declarations. That separation is why the demo can hold over 3,000 player reviews rated Very Positive while the main app has no user reviews at all.
The demo launched on June 15 2026 for Steam Next Fest, is free, and was left available indefinitely after the festival — the developer said in a June 29 2026 post that no further patches were planned, that it may be used as a public test platform, and that he will not announce when it closes.
If you are looking for the accessibility tags, they are here rather than on the main page: adjustable difficulty, mouse only option, playable without timed input, playable at your own pace, custom volume controls and camera comfort.
The news hub: where every announcement lands
The Steam news hub for App 2610770 is where the developer publishes substantial posts, and it is the primary source for nearly every hard fact on this wiki. The posts that matter:
- February 10 2026 — the approximately 15-hour campaign target, and the infantry squad and vehicle armour models.
- February 2026 FAQ — the release date position, the multiplayer position, and the feedback policy.
- April 3 2026 — the "DUST FRONT RTS | Destructions" post covering landscape destruction and surface burning, with the note that "the implementation has its own compromises and is constantly being refined."
- June 15 2026 — the "DEMO TODAY" post listing the demo's quality-of-life features.
- June 29 2026 — the "End of fest" post carrying the full 38-entry fix list for the festival and the D-30 update, plus the YouTube link to the EDLISE soundtrack.
He posts rarely on purpose. Steam posts must be long, translated and formatted, there is no embedded video player, GIFs are capped at 5 MB, and he has said he will not manufacture artificial news cycles. When something appears on the news hub, it is substantive.
The community hub and discussions
The community hub carries the pinned developer post "Demo | F.A.Q", dated June 20 2026. It is the third official source tier for this wiki and covers auto-repair, localisation, WASD camera control, the camera question and a running bug list.
The discussions are the practical place to check whether a problem is yours or everybody's. Because the game is locked to the global map and has no multiplayer, the discussion traffic skews toward mechanics questions and bug confirmation rather than balance arguments, which makes it more useful than the average unreleased-game forum.
Steam features listed: single-player, Family Sharing, limited profile features
The Steam features list for Dust Front RTS reads as follows:
- Single-player — the only mode. There is no multiplayer and no co-op, and the developer has said there will not be.
- Family Sharing — supported.
- Profile features limited — the standard entry for an unreleased title with no trading cards, badges or workshop.
The no-multiplayer position is unusually explicit and worth quoting in brief. The developer's reasoning is that the project does not need it, that a multiplayer community would inevitably be small while demanding the lion's share of support attention, and that he would have to choose between two fires. He has allowed that a multiplayer version is conceivable as a separate project if the game succeeds, but other campaigns come first. A skirmish mode with bots is possible, but most likely only after the main game.
Curator reviews, and why there are no user reviews
There are no user reviews on the main app, because unreleased games cannot be reviewed by players. What exists instead is curator coverage — written recommendations from Steam curator groups, which are the only review-type content on the store page today.
The meaningful signal is therefore on the demo page: over 3,000 Steam player reviews rated Very Positive, with earlier snapshots recording 1,431 reviews at 89% positive and 493 Simplified-Chinese-language reviews at 96% positive, the percentage running roughly 89–96% depending on the slice. Against a design target of about two hours of demo content, players logged 30 to 70 hours.
